Starting out

Here we are, month two of Pit Pro, and it seems like things are moving at a hundred miles an hour. Over the last month I’ve been speaking with suppliers, working out costings and processes, sorting websites, phone numbers, emails and more importantly, refining some of my products. And finally, eating a whole lot of pulled pork, burnt ends and ribs – sometimes I think the hardest part of this job will be keeping the weight off!
I’ve spent some time experimenting with some really cool spices and flavours that we’ll be including in the spice club over the next few months, some aren’t aren’t there yet but its pretty exciting!
Cooked a Brisket which was yummy
I’ve got a list as long as my arm to do before we can launch but I’m working through it, and my wife Sophie is being an absolute star with the digital design and a very tough critic when it comes to the food, for which I am forever thankful.
Next up is getting some test packs ready and sending them out for some feedback – equally exciting a terrifying – plus getting the website set up… which presumably I have done if you're reading this... easy peeasy!
